HforHire is designed with data protection and privacy safeguards, including access controls, secure processing, data minimization, and mechanisms for account and data deletion. Our processing practices are governed by this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only necessary information required to operate our AI matching engine:

Candidate Data: Name, email address, uploaded resume PDF files, parsed skill vectors, and availability status.
Recruiter Data: Account credentials (via Clerk authentication), company name, subscription details, and search query parameters.
Technical Data: IP addresses, browser types, and vector search latency diagnostics.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used strictly to deliver recruiting and hiring workflow precision:

To convert resume PDF text into high-dimensional vector embeddings stored in PostgreSQL pgvector.
To calculate cosine distance similarity scores for job descriptions.
To conduct automated 24-hour Availability Verification notifications via email and authenticated HforHire dashboard notifications.
We NEVER sell candidate personal data to third-party advertisers.

3. Cryptographic Shielding & Multitenant Protection

Resumes uploaded to Recruiter Processing Decks are cryptographically isolated and accessible strictly by authorized account holders. Candidate profile details remain masked to business recruiters until explicit match interest is triggered.

4. Your Right to Purge Data

Candidates maintain 100% control over their identity records. You can click “Purge Identity Record” in your Candidate Dashboard at any time to permanently erase all uploaded PDF files, parsed text, and vector database embeddings.
